Hernandez
Does he have a future at this club? 4-1 up and he brings on ayew instead of hernandez. Personally I think he should stay and don't think he has been given a fair crack at the whip.

Re: Hernandez
I would favour getting rid of him if it means we could get the Russian in, who looks a very different kind of player with a terrific shot - scores quite a few from outside the box, which is something we rarely do apart from Obiang's thunderbolt the other week. Mourinho is a known admirer of Hernandez but it's hard to imagine that he is at the top of their shopping list. But if other targets don't come off they might come in for him.

And lets get rid of our options because our best players never get injured here at West Ham.

I would agree with that with the current options we have in midfield, especially if we play two in there.

Which is why we need another better central midfielder.

Not every team is going to let us waltz through the midfield or make the passing mistakes that Hudderfield did and so to beat (not draw) other team that set up to defend, you have to have options up front.

To me he is the difference between midtable and challenging for things, the problem is the non-forwards part of the team is just not midtable quality yet, so yes you could say he is wasted.

Re: Hernandez
Thing is that Hernandez should shine against 3rd tier opposition. The fact that he was shit in the 1st game against Shrewsbury will mean that the manager will not advance him near the 1st eleven at the moment.

Even less likely is the prospect of changing the way a points gathering team are playing to fit him in simply because of his past reputation.

Just because some of you are in love with the idea of Chicharito you need to get a dose of reality. So far he hasn't earned the right to be anywhere near Lanzini and Arnie up front.

some players just dont fit in, he is one of them , get rid before we lose more money.

"You can't play a way that can suit him."

Rubbish

ok you can't play a way that will suit him, Arnie and Lanzini without leaving us exposed in midfield then

Hernandez is behind Ayew now because Moyes has seen Ayew do more than Chicharito in games. Fuck all v very little mind but there is no doubt in my mind Ayew is ahead.

You can't blame Moyes for ignoring an under-performing reputation.

Re: Hernandez
at 4-1 i thought likes of cullen and co would of come on also. My guess he was saving all of them for the game tomorrow.

Re: Hernandez
Saturday was a perfect chance for him to come in for 15-20 minutes against a broken team - there’s no doubting the guys ability and we should be trying to get him back in form any way possible so at least he can make an impact when he does come on

Re: Hernandez
Good point Defjam. However, I think AC is on his way out soon. He's never fit anyway so the chances of them playing in the same team are quite remote. Always assuming we actually sign Fellaini anyway...

Re: Hernandez
Fellaini and Carroll in the same team?
The ball wouldn't have to touch the ground from goal kick to scoring a goal.

Fellaini would be brilliant for us imo....

Some players never belong in a West Ham shirt
Fellani is one of them

Needs to be in a 2, nice to have options for once there will be times when we need him.

"You can't play a way that can suit him."

Rubbish

He did amazing in a legitimate starting role for Levekusen his first year, he actually did fine in that role his second, the whole team struggled but 13 goals is not nothing.

Re: Hernandez
You can't play a way that can suit him. Even if as a top club with full command of games you could supply him, there'd be better options to exploit it at that level. He's a win-more player.

Should he go now? Because of the contract and because he might still be worth something in the market I think so. But if he stays he can of course still be useful - he might come on on 80 minutes and hit a couple of winners before the end of the season. So I can understand either choice.

Re: Hernandez
If we are going to play the way that suits him with any frequency, Hernandez should stay.

He might be fairly useless at playing any other way, but he's one of the best at doing what he does. Better than Ayew any day of the week.

If we're not we should sell him. Especially as his prayers don't work.

Willtell 9:43 Sun Jan 14
Re: Hernandez
It's simple to work out really. Moyes is a good manager making consistent decisions that surprise no-one in the squad.

At the moment both Ayew and Chicharito have been poor due to the way the team have had to play which doesn't suit either player. Bilic should have realised this before signing them.

More importantly, Ayew has played better than Chicharito when they have had the opportunity. I personally like Chicharito but he needs to be at a top club that can afford a 2nd striker that's a fox in the box.

Re: Hernandez
Rumoured ManU may be interested, tad far fetched IMO, but if Fellaini were to come the other way in deal....

The midfielder we need for the striker we dont???

Wishing thinking i know!

Chigwell 6:54 Sun Jan 14
Re: Hernandez
At 4-1 up you don't want to risk your better players, which is why Ayew was the right substitute.
